Persephone on Facebook.
Facebook suddenly decided to permanently ban both myself and my wife with no recourse. We can no longer view or administer our pages, or communicate with our friends.
I have been a member of Facebook since 2008, and have invested a lifetime's worth of work on the platform. I have uploaded 10,000+ photos and videos, accumulated 3800+ friends, and created 100+ groups and pages, most of them travel-related. Forty pages and just as many groups are dedicated to the island of Milos alone. Our Milos Island page (41K+ fans) and affiliated Milos Island group (33K+ members) are the most popular Milos Island page and group, respectively. Other notable groups include Santorini, with 460K+ members, and Greek Islands, with 548K+ members.
After 13 years, all of a sudden, facebook decided that my profile does not conform to their precious community standards. Facebook itself makes a mockery of their own "standards" as they consistently fail to enforce and downright violate them themselves, systematically. Both me and my wife have been inexplicably, arbitrarily, unfairly and summarily deplatformed, without any concrete explanation, and have also been denied the right to appeal. Such colossal hypocrites!
As of December 15, 2021, our 4000+ friends wonder what happened to us, and all our groups and pages are orphaned, with 1000K+ fans and members left in limbo. Unfortunately, these pages include our Facebook presence for the Persephone Studio and other properties we manage. Therefore, if you try to contact us on our Persephone Milos page of Facebook, we won't get notified, we won't be able to receive any messages, and you won't receive a reply. It's no wonder facebook has been voted worst company of the year in 2021.
